Asked every bidding week.

What is the current COE price in Singapore?
As of the 19 August 2026 exercise: Cat A $128,501, Cat B $131,001, Cat C $90,002, Cat D $11,301 and Cat E $135,000. The next tender closes on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 at 4pm.
How much does it cost to renew a COE for 5 years?
Exactly half the Prevailing Quota Premium. At the September 2026 PQP that is $63,104 for Cat A and $64,349 for Cat B — but a 5-year renewal on a car cannot be extended again, so the vehicle must be deregistered when it ends.
Why did COE prices rise in August 2026?
The Aug–Oct quota gave Cat A about 4% fewer certificates while demand held firm, and the second August exercise coincided with pent-up bids after the earlier dip — Cat A jumped $4,611 to $128,501 and Cat E hit $135,000.
Is leasing cheaper than buying now?
Often, yes. A typical Cat A car now costs about $2,000–$2,600 a month to own over 10 years once depreciation, interest, insurance and running costs are counted. All-in leases start around $1,600 a month, and car sharing is far less if you drive occasionally. Run your numbers in the calculator above.
How did Budget 2026 change the PARF rebate?
For cars registered with COEs obtained from the second February 2026 bidding onwards, the PARF rebate was cut sharply: a car deregistered before 5 years old now gets back 30% of its ARF (down from 75%), sliding to 5% at 9–10 years (down from 50%), and the cap fell from $60,000 to $30,000. Cars registered before 13 February 2026 keep the old schedule. Use the depreciation calculator above — it supports both.
What EV rebates are still available in 2026?
2026 is the final year of the EV Early Adoption Incentive: 45% off the ARF, capped at $7,500, ending 31 December 2026. Fully-electric cars in VES Band A1 also get up to $22,500 — combined savings up to $30,000. Hybrids no longer receive VES rebates from 2026.
When is the next COE bidding exercise?
Bidding opens Monday, 7 September 2026 at 12pm and closes Wednesday, 9 September 2026 at 4pm — a three-week gap after the 19 August exercise, per LTA’s 2026 schedule. Results appear here minutes after close.
